Ideas for a Kid’s Bedroom

The market is probably saturated with a wide variety of items for kids. There are gadgets and electronics on top of toys and sports items, designed and geared for kids. After all, Generation Y and Z have GenX parents who are out to find and source the best of the best for their children.
Decorating a kid’s bedroom is easier today. There are a lot of kid’s beds, kid’s furniture and bedroom furniture that are out for sale. You can think of a theme right of the bat and chances are there are items for that specific theme.
A current theme for young girls is Alice in Wonderland.  You can choose to paint the walls in light pink and white as backdrop for the themed clock and frames. If you have an artistic flair, you can opt to paint a mural on one wall depicting characters of the story. Don’t go overboard with the theme like choosing themed beddings et al as it would be too tacky. Opt for understated yet classy beddings like the Reversible Tea Rose Twin Duvet Set. For your little girl’s bed, the Tulip-Piccolo Double Bed  in French Vanilla is a perfect. Complement the bed with other kid’s furniture like the Tulip-Lola 4 Drawer Dresser or the Oeuf Robin Designer Dresser in white. Casco Bay Childrens Chair in soft pink will emphasize the youthful femininity of the bedroom.

A wonderful and clever motif for a young boy is a Carnival theme. Paint the walls with light blues and greens. Accent them with carnival inspired décor or even pictures of baby animals, clowns and balloons. Choose the Petra Toddler Bed as it has side railings as safety measure for young kids. Fit the bed with a circus inspired beddings like  Carnival Twin Duvet Set. Other kid’s furniture that you can use for a young boy is a Sandro Play Table. This piece of kid’s furniture is cleverly built as it is modular and can adapt to the growing stages of a child.  The table itself can be reconfigured for endless possibilities and it is safe to use even for toddlers as there are no bolts or screws needed for assembly.  It is available in seven playful colors that are specifically chosen for kids. For your little boy’s carnival theme bedroom blue or light blue will bode well with the duvet set.
If two kids are to share one bedroom, then you can certainly opt for a bunk bed for the kids’ bed. A bunk bed is fun and safe. For boys, the Shiver Me Timbers Twin Size Bunk Bed is an option. The pirate-inspired bunk bed could sure be fun for your highly imaginative boys.  For girls, the Duet Modern Bunk Bed is a perfect choice. The bunk bed is available in citrus, cotton candy, lime, navy and snow. Girls will definitely go for the cotton candy color (pink). Fit the kids’ beds with a Butterfly Ballet Bedding Set for a nice finishing touch.
